Jake has a keen interest in supporting people to reach their goals and identifying opportunities for them to thrive. A history working in crisis support for people in distress.
Jake is interested in positive psychology and its approach to uncovering what it takes for people to be at their best. With a focus on neuro-affirming frameworks and big-picture thinking, Jake aims to celebrate individual strengths and understand the context of behaviour. He is also passionate about the practical applications of biopsychosocial model which seeks to understand behaviour, as well as ecological system theories of human development. Combining a solid psychosocial background with his ongoing professional development, Jake consistently applies current research to ensure his practice is informed by strong, evidence-based principles.
Outside of work you will probably find Jake relaxing with his partner and kitten at home – watching a movie, playing records or cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
