Joanna is a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner who lives within the beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula.
Joanna holds a Bachelor and Honours Degree in Psychological Science from The University of Adelaide, underpinning her deep understanding of human behaviour and cognition. Complementing her academic qualifications, Joanna holds certificates in CPI Safety Intervention, Epilepsy Management, and Child Safe Environments, reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional development and ensuring the safety and well-being of her clients.
Since leaving university, Joanna has gained valuable experience across various sectors within the disability field, including Disability Employment, NDIS Plan Management, Supported Independent Living, and as a Support Worker. Her diverse experience has exposed her to working with individuals living with a range of disabilities, including Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and various Mental Health Disorders (i.e. Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety, and Depression).. Additionally, Joanna has worked with individuals with physical disabilities such as Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and Hearing/Vision impairments.
Joanna’s multifaceted experience within the NDIS equips her with a holistic understanding of a participant’s journey, allowing her to provide tailored and comprehensive support to meet their individual needs and goals.
In her spare time, Joanna enjoys baking delicious treats and immersing herself in the pages of a good book. Living on the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula, Joanna enjoys spending her weekends at the beach with her loyal Labrador companion, Molly.
