Joanna is a highly experienced Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner who supports clients with both psychosocial and physical disabilities. Joanna also has a Bachelor of Nursing and has previously worked as a Clinical Manager specialising in complex care, palliative care, and behaviour management, as well as working with clients with varying needs and from different backgrounds and cultures to maintain their independence and confidence.
Joanna has lived experience and can empathise with the challenges of disabilities and mental health. Jo has completed her Graduate Diploma in Psychology, ensuring a good understanding and knowledge of supportingeach unique participant in order to achieve the best outcome. Joanna has an interest in all areas of disability and loves to research new ideas and possibilities!
In her down time, Jo enjoys watching football, going to Adelaide Striker’s cricket games, going away caravanning whenever possible, and spending time with her family.
Qualifications & Background
– Graduate Degree in Psychology.
– NDIS Registered PBS Practitioner.
– Extensive experience providing nursing and complex health care services with a Bachelor of Nursing.
– Excels in providing collaborative & proactive solutions for participants and their support networks.
– Keen awareness of mental health complexities and trauma-informed practice.
– Holds all clearances to Work with Children and within the NDIS, Worker Clearances.
– Highly experienced supporting complex care and vulnerable families, alongside their support teams.
– Complimentary experience in Support Coordination (with a Psychosocial focus) also provides her valuable awareness and connections for navigating systems and connecting with the right community resources and services.
