Jo’s journey with people has led her to her current role as a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner. Jo enjoys engaging with others and developing trusting reciprocal relationships and is privileged to be able to share their journeys with them as they realise their goals through developing personal capacity, resilience and focussing on identifying and building on existing strengths.
Jo has significant experience working with people from diverse backgrounds providing holistic supports to assist her clients in their recovery journeys. Jo has held service management roles within the Disability Employment Services, sector, Coordinator roles within biopsychosocial recovery programs, has spent time living on the APY Lands delivering Family Mental Health Support Services and has supported young people living in Residential Care within a trauma informed therapeutic lens as a Clinician.
Jo holds a Bachelor of Social Science and a Master of Social Work. Jo has developed and delivered mental health awareness training programs across Australia and has developed and delivered numerous in-house training programs for both staff and clients and enjoys learning new things.
Jo enjoys spending her spare time with her children, grandchildren and her dog Toby.
